Officers and Board of Directors
There are nine positions on the Glacier Mountaineering Society Board of Directors. Directors are elected for three year terms with three directors elected by the membership each year at the annual meeting. The annual meeting of the GMS Board of Directors follows the annual Glacier Mountaineering Society Membership Meeting. Officers for the following year are elected and other business is conducted. Members are welcome to attend. The next meeting of the GMS Board of Directors is scheduled for Saturday July 26, 2008 in St. Mary Montana.
The terms of three members of the board of directors expire in 2008. These are
Jim Cossitt, Ken McDermott and Jim Schroeder. All three are eligible for reelection. The GMS Nominating Committee will announce candidates for these positions in the 2008
Journal. Additional nominations can be made at the annual membership meeting on Saturday, July 26, 2008
at The Resort at Glacier, Great Bear Lodge, St. Mary,
Montana or by mail with the Election Proxy Form provided
with the 2008 Journal. The luncheon begins at 12:00 noon with the membership meeting following immediately after lunch.
